Re: Armed robbery at Brussels Airport

There is a story, from the old Sabena Ages, about an amount of gold that was lost on BRU tarmac... Several days later they found a cargo cart on the remote positions which amazingly still held... The gold :)

It was told to me, don't know if it's true though...

Young boy takes flight from BRU to Malaga without any papers

Why would that be on the news...
Heard it from my ex-colleagues at Swissport they have been briefed by management. 150 jobs at stake.
As an alternative jetairfly does not really have a choice... AP it is :)

Re: Young boy takes flight from BRU to Malaga without any pa

Hey, At the boarding of shengen flights (and when they are 4 in the back) a cabin crew of jetairfly assists the gate agent with the boarding. They are not used to boarding an aircraft, keeping organisation in the boarding area, etc... many times ticket counts at the gate resulted with a difference f...

Re: Snow in BRU night 14-15/01/2013

From CFMU... Overnight, this snow front moves through Belgium with light to moderate snow forecast for EBBR. Most of the moderate snow will be from 23:00 until 01:00 UTC with light snow (valid between 01:00 and 18:00 UTC on Wednesday 16/01/13). There is a chance for single runway ops in the early mo...

Re: Possible scam with take-off weight at Ryanair

Anyway...
I don't really believe (read: i can hardly imagine) that this was just a mistake...
You just don't decide your MTOW in 1,2,3...
You do studies about it and then pick what suits your operations best.

Re: Jetairfly goes Embraer

Some B737-800s are even out of trim when going on ferry flight and crew is 2/0 ;)
I think the load compartments of F100 are slightly greater than those of EMB.

Re: Jetairfly goes Embraer

But an EMB195 for charter ops... from a loading point of view that doesn't seem a wise descision. Small compartments, limited structural weights vs. a lot of large and heavy bags. And what about the cabin bags, they seem a bit larger on charter flights most of the time :) I do not dislike the EMB's ...

Re: Belgium 30/01/2012 Strike

I don't expect too much trouble at Flightcare.... It's not unusual for unions to overestimate support on the workfloor. Previous national strike at the airport was not a succes either.

Re: Strike of Flightcare baggage handlers at Brussels Airpor

Airazurxtor doesn't have it all wrong. The people of Flightcare who went on strike are indirect employees of SN (and to a smaller degree of other airlines). SN pays Flightcare who in turn pays its employees. Basically, SN is victim of its own working method. This is the result of someone somewhere ...
