Re: Lyon opens a terminal for LCC
It's not very a LCC airline. They sometimes fly for Travel agents such as Look, and you can't book on their website. It's like Air Berlin.
But in the past we had some "LCC Airlines" (Air Inter or Air Liberté).

Kigali is still served by 4 flights a week, but flights to Entebbe is now only served 3 times a week. ;) . Maybe a new opportunity for LH or SN to take over Rwandair. SN has looked at Rwandair before and according to rumours LH and SN already saw Rwandair as a possible "replacement" for Korongo Airlines some months ago. And Rwandair is searching for a powerfull, investor, and they prefer an Eu...

Re: ECAir launches flights in Congo by LH & Privatair
I think that LH & PrivatAir want to create a feeder reliable airline, in the region, because all airlines in Central Africa are blacklisted. With this airline, LH will able to carry passengers from Brazzaville to Malabo and then connect with LH flight.

A South African Taxi company has just created a new airline. They plan to start flight in November 2011. There are some critics and doubt in SA, about this airline especially on the long term. The SA market is very competitive (Mango, Comair, 1time, Velvet, SAA,...). But Wait and see.. http://www.bu...

I think only TAAG can compete with internationals airlines...but it's quite easy for them, because they have code share agreements with some airlines serving LAD  . Yep but for a shortime, indeed one of two A340-500 will be in maintenance, so the airline will fly to London from Lagos with B737-800, from 31AUG 2011 to 31OCT 2011 according to Airline routes. But isn't that the Abuja route, while Lagos was (is?) still operated with A345?
