Re: Terminals in Madrid
Inquirer Just to put something straight here really quickly: I am not judging any airline by the terminal they use in Madrid or elsewhere; I am using the presence of one of the lowest quality airlines in Europe to illustrate the simple fact not all of the infrastructure at Madrid is of the amazingl...

Re: Business Class? Yes we LAN! MAD-FRA on the Dreamliner
I also took the opportunity to fly with LAN but I flew both ways - out from Frankfurt on 30/6 and back on 4/7. At Franfurt LAN uses (used?) the Air Canada lounge which was smaller than the Iberia lounge in Madrid but very nice indeed. Food both ways was the same as you had. Like you my good lady is ...

CRJ700's are still operated by HOP (Brit Air) who have 12 or 13, if memory serves.

Re: The "let us know Superfares" Topic !
Just want to thank TFS for the heads up on this fare. After a quick consultation with Mrs Potter I was on the LAN site Friday morning. Just back from my trip (sending this from the InterCity Hotel at FRA) after spending 4 nights in Madrid. LAN provided a very good experience - full lie-flat seats an...

Re: Birdstrike : no "extraordinary circumstance"
@ Passenger The County Court in England and Wales is not "just a regional court" but a national court with branches throughout the country whose jurisdiction is only limited by the monetary amount of the claim. You are correct in that the judgment can be appealed, and could ultimately go t...

Duty-free booze for people on flights within EU has not been possible for many years. More crappy reporting by the Daily Mail I guess.

Bit of an old picture of Pinal Air Park, Marana with Tristars and 72's - more up-to date pic at http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=7715205&nseq=1 There are thousands of aircraft not hundreds and rust is not usually an issue with aircraft - being as they are mostly aluminium. The south-western...

Is it carrying its Korean civil registration? I ask as fp has it as 10001 as do reports from Heathrow earlier today. Certainly not in Korean air colours.HL7465

Oh, come on SF!
The roof would be the fuselage skin - what actually happened is that they hit and broke plastic panels in the CEILING.
Way too dramatic a title for what actually happened.
