They will expand the lounge soon, and use the location next to them which was in the past an Iberia lounge.

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
This aircraft is even not allowed at Brussels Airport if it was a commercial operation. It is too noise to meet the QC standards as set by the national governement. This is the reason why ET for example moved to LGG, as they where using old B747-200F at that time. But the law foresees an exemption f...

Re: Brucargo 2017: cargo routes, news
No it is not! LHR sponsered, did not win. Other examples too. LGG sponsered the Air Cargo News awards last month and won! So also a joke? No. But organisers try to look for sponsors, especially amongst their finalist. That is commonly know. As a logistics platform BRUcargo is doing a lot of good thi...

Re: BRU Summer 2017: news, new routes, airlines
Too bad Finnair stopped with their A350. BRU is starting to become an A350-hub. Some airlines are probably anticipating the noise restrictions by using newer types of planes... That would be very pro active... no link however. Anyway, if even a 787 can get fines, it will not help if they now come w...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
If that's the case, then will there not be similar limitations on the Belgian side, meaning only one of the projects can go ahead in the end? Also, is it a fact only 1 airline from each country may fly? And will this limitation last for much longer if it is, given the pace at which the economy of t...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
Traffic rights?! Chinese governement controls them directly, that is why for example no other Chinese carrier can fly to Belgium with passengers except Hainan. By setting this up in Belgium they can make use of Belgian traffic rights and they do not get in conflict with any Belgian carrier flying to...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
747-8F is a lot more quite than the 747-400F. Would be no problem to still operate this at full MTOW and stay below limits of Brussels Regions. However, current customer base has no such aircraft in fleet or is not willing to use them on the the smaller market of BRU (compared to AMS or FRA). Also t...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
airlines do not buy other aircraft just to serve BRU. It is easier to move to another airport. Common... its easier to find quiet aircraft than noisy ones nowadays... it will not be hard at all for the airlines. Only a few airlines can't provide alternatives. Yangtze is one of them, too bad. (but r...

Seems Terzakis is working on a new long haul airline. Are already talking to SQ to lease a former B777 aircraft. Seems to be linked to the Chinese charter flights operating at LGG.
