Re: BRU infrastructure: future
Connector is a huge improvement, making travel a lot easier and faster and nicer than the tunnel we had in the past. The fact you have to walk true a shop is no exception in BRU only and not adding anyrhing to the travel time. For a lot of passeners these shops make travel more pleasent. Also, bigge...

Re: Brussels airport to Larnaca
BRU is number 10 only based on their flown volumes. But you are correct, they could be higher if trucked cargo was also flown rather than trucked. Not so unlogic that KLM is big, they are close and offer many passenger destinations that are not served out of BRU. For example in South America but als...

As already mentioned before, I also hope that people will I would even go one step further. Why are you exporting our jobs to Holland, France or Germany? Our economy has been severely hit by the attacks and we need to restore it ASAP. If Belgians don't help themselves, who will? Well-said, Andre! O...

Did it by car. P1 is close, but bus is indeed almost in front of new checkin area. But arrival did not change, is same location. So no long walk to the car park for pick up.

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Left home at 09h30 today (Leuven) and in the BA lounge at 10h45. Agree it is not a nice experience at the moment, but can not say it is taking a lot of time, on the contrary. 10 min at the first check, smooth afterwards. Did not check anybags, that would have added probably another 15 to 30 min.

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
750 euro will not be suficient to pay for landing and take off fees at ANR and BRU, nor Belgocontrol charges at BRU... So calculation not that easy. But take into account other benefits mentioned and perhaps people are willing to pay for it or it could be seen as an advantage to avoid passenger to g...

Re: Ethiopian moves cargo flights from Brussels to Maastricht. And back!
Reading comments from LGG they are talking about 6 to 8 flights extra. Seen the fact not all flights moved from LGG to MST (this was wrong in the artikel of cargoforwarder) but they still kept some flights, do think the number for LGG will be around the number mentioned.

Re: Ethiopian moves cargo flights from Brussels to Maastricht. And back?
Not linked to the DHL Hub, but it is correct that DHL Global Forwarder was and is a big customer of Ethiopian. In the past, under the charter agreement, the flights ex BRU were operated under a charter agreement where only DHL GF could load their cargo on the flights. Today, with the new bilateral, ...

Re: Ethiopian moves cargo flights from Brussels to Maastricht. And back?
ACI but also the National Bank of Belgium every 2 years have reports on the job creation at airports. Easy to find them on the internet. Why doubt these figures??! Even if they are somewhat high for some, it is a lot more than the 10 BeCA is refering to. And still better to have them in Belgium than...

Re: TNT Airways news 2016
Agree with you. Will probably take some time. Also seen the fact they recenly finished a big expansion in CDG themselves. But FedEx will not keep 3 hubs in Western Europe. Was just making the statement that the sale does not mean it is confirmed they stay in LGG.

Re: TNT Airways news 2016
Lets hope for LGG. For sure ASL has been given some guarantees to operate fligths for FedEx in future, but this could be from any airport. Even today, ASL is operating many flights for different operators. They do not need one operational base, but will fly from the base their customers ask them to ...

Re: Brussels Airlines remaned Eurowings?
The decision to fly to India (or not) will be taken in a few weeks. This will involve 125 new jobs (whereas the loss of Jet Airways represents only 25 jobs). Direct loss was only 25, because that we the amount of people working for Jet Airways. A lot more were employed by subcontractors and also wo...

Traffic rights are not a problem for brussels airlines as there is a current bilateral agreement in place. Different for carriers that are already using their allotment foreseen in the agreements between their country and India.

Re: BRU Summer 2016: news, new routes, airlines
No need to wait till 9W stops before asking traffic rights or slots. Clearly b.air (and partners) is preparing to do something on North America when 9W pulls out, not on India.
