Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Some more news: De Croo states that if they bailout SN they also expect the shareholders to pump money into the company as well. He also says that aspects such as employment, climate and other social objectives will have to be taken into account. Furthermore, he states that it is also essential for ...

Some news about Spohr's position: https://www.tagesschau.de/wirtschaft/lufthansa-krise-101.html I have tried to summarise from a google translation as I don't know German, but here is the gist of it: Basically he saying he doesn't want to be told where to fly from by politicians. He also wants a bai...

I don't know if this means anything but Singapore Airlines in recent inventory update filed changes to its planned Singapore – Brussels service, scheduled to resume on 25OCT20. As of 0645GMT 22APR20, the Star Alliance carrier is only accepting reservation in full-fare Z / S / Y-class (Business, Prem...

Re: Austrian Airlines in 2020
OS is starting negotiations with the Austrian government. It also includes the LHG Board. Moderators - feel free to delete if this is in violation - I'm quoting a person from airliners.net The person (mxaxai) in airliners.net gives a good overview of what will be discussed. OS and LH leadership (boa...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
My take on this - it will affect everyone. SN if I am not mistaken is break-even (no profit or loss). They should be fine. OS in all honesty while 'doing better' but not really in my eyes has handful, Wizzair and Lauda + Malta Air will not stop expanding and will probably continue to do so. LH bette...

Re: LOT Polish Airlines / PLL LOT news thread
I am using LOT a lot now that I have moved to Kyiv for my BRU flights and other parts in Europe. Ukraine International is not in a good financial situation. They are planning to send back 3 737 to lessors. They stopped Amman, Riga, Krakow, Almaty, Minsk, Beijing, Bangkok (this was before the shootin...

A new A320 NEO has been spotted in Toulouse doing test flights. A revised livery is expected. Improvements to IFE is also rumored. Normally on the 12th of December at SKG (Thessaloniki) there will be an unveiling of the new livery as well as S2020 destinations. A3 has a total of 20 A320 neos and 10 ...

They are still trying to define the reboot plan, I heard from the grapevine. Hopefully this is part of an optimisation of the network, because they could potentially earn more with better timings for different destinations. I know A3 (very different market) but it does stop some of its "year ro...

It didn't start because of the attacks and they overall did not do well in MUC.
Do we have any info about potential longhaul flights? Rumor SQ is looking at BOS, can they do a SIN-BRU-BOS like they do SIN-FRA-JFK or SIN-MAN-IAH

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
Most EU airlines don't have 'extra'security to TLV it is, it is mainly EL AL. They wanted to fly to CPH but didn't start the route as the DK government refused to grant the Israeli's their own security staff for CPH airport. I don't think there is that much demand to Africa and Dublin. Also DUB I as...

And there are now cuts in premium economy and economy. https://onemileatatime.com/lufthansa-reducing-economy-meal-service/ At this point I am happy it chose IB for my trip to MEX in February. Re: Austrian Airlines in 2019
SN should focus on itself and not wait till Austrian is profitable to do cuts itself. OS is 'technically' doing better than SN - bigger transfer market. But their bread and butter (Balkans and Eastern Europe) is getting trashed. With Wizz Air and Lauda especially, the O&D will not necessarily pi...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I also concur that SN need better integration with other Star Alliance partners. Obviously for some partners it depends much more on LH (they also need an attitude shake up but that is just my opinion). I also wish that SN would collaborate much more with SNCB/NMBS. It would be nice to get some Euro...
