Re: OO-SGC: A new lease of life
Why did Sabena never buy the Combi's to operate into Africa? KL's Combi's offered more or less the same pax capacity as SN's A330's did/do but with more valuable cargo space. They were combi's... Google "Sabena 747 seatmap"... I believe Sabena even did the conversion of the 747-100's them...

How to land a space shuttle...
Well, it landed kind of like a plane, so it's aviation, isn't it?
Enjoy!

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
If the Belgian state wants a seat on the board of Brussels Airlines and 25% of the shares +1 (in order to have a blocking minority), it must be a capital injection rather than a loan. You value the company at 3€ (probably even negative for the moment), raise the capital with 1€ and you get 25% of t...

In the end it will be as always in the EU...

Re: Impact of the coronavirus crisis on aviation
Did you mean the satellite view or some streetview? In the app or on the website? It's indeed a weird sight at https://www.google.be/maps/@50.9032342,4.4911817,1550m/data=!3m1!1e3, but I can't find the parked aircraft? What I see is only 5 planes: a SN flight ready for takeoff, an aeroflot followin...

Re: Impact of the coronavirus crisis on aviation
Might have been reported before, if so, I'm sorry... For those who want a sad sight... if you check Brussels Airport on Google Earth, and select the most recent view (the little clock on top of the page) you see probably the complete fleets of Brussels Airlines, Air Belgium and Tui... basically... t...

Re: Berlin Brandenburg New Airport (BER) - opening in 2021
I liked Tempelhof (THF) even better, with SN (both Sabena and SN Brussels) the only airlines allowed to park under the roof! Good memories, flew once in C (on miles) and was the first to disembark under the roof... I guess the closest I'll ever have been to feeling like flying in a private jet... W...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?
Corona is an excellent opportunity for the Italian government (and/or Alitalia's administrators) to do what has to be done. Close it down, blame it on the virus. My 2 cents: That should be done, but they'll do exactly the opposite. They'll use the virus as an excuse to pump in even more money... Ch...

I would feed CDG...
Yes, there're (just) 2 Thalys trains a day, but the hassle with your luggage on trains is legendary.
I think there's a market...
