Departure curb at Brussels Airport closes for two nights

Post by sn26567 »

In a few weeks' time, a new supermarket will be opening at Brussels Airport. This shop requires new refrigeration units that have to be lowered on the roof of the terminal by crane. For safety reasons, no traffic will be allowed on the departure curb while the cranes are in operation.

To keep inconvenience for the passengers and disruption to the normal airport operations to a minimum, it has been decided these works will take place overnight, in two phases: 19:00 Saturday till 04:00 Sunday, and 21:00 Sunday till 04:00 Monday.

All traffic for the Departures level will be diverted to the Arrivals level.

Temporary signs will be in position, and police will guide traffic.

Because of the timing, we do not expect these works to cause significant disruption to traffic. Brussels Airport apologises for any inconvenience that may occur.
