MADRID - The Spanish airline Iberia will fly more to Central-America. From 4 January a fifth weekly flight will be carried out from hub Madrid to Guatemala and Panama. On flights to Central-America is a very big passenger increase, according to Iberia.
In 2007, Iberia transported 253,000 passengers between Europe and Central-America. That means an increase of 17.5 percent compared to 2006. The average load factor is almost 90 percent. The flights are carried out by Airbus A340's.
Iberia offers 12 weekly flights to Central-America. Besides the five weekly flights to Guatemala/Panama, the Spanish carrier offers a daily flight to San José in Costa Rica.
