Brussels Airport: New bus service from The Netherlands

Post by sn26567 »

New bus service provides direct link with Brussels Airport from the Netherlands

As of 1 March a new, attractively priced bus service will provide a direct link between Brussels Airport and the cities of Utrecht, Rotterdam and Breda in the Netherlands. The Brussels Airport Express is a joint initiative by Brussels Airport, several airlines and the Belgian transport company De Decker - Van Riet.

For the past few years Brussels Airport has been happy to welcome growing numbers of Dutch travellers. This increase is mainly attributed to the growing number of direct destinations served from Brussels and the attractive fares.

Besides comfort and short waiting times Brussels Airport offers flights to destinations that are attractive to the Dutch market and that - in some cases - are only served from Brussels. Apart from the many European and African destinations served, the offer of direct destinations in the Middle East, China, Canada and the US is greatly expanding.

From large parts of the Netherlands, Brussels Airport can be reached just as easily, or even more easily, as Amsterdam Schiphol airport while the morning rush hour is generally less busy. The new bus service anticipates the fast rail link with the Netherlands, which as from 2012 will allow Dutch passengers to travel to Brussels Airport by rail without having to change trains.

The Brussels Airport Express operates twice a day according to a schedule that is geared to the intercontinental flights that mainly arrive and depart in the morning and evening.

A return ticket costs only 37.50 euros and can be booked as of today on www.brusselsairportexpress.com. Passengers on Jet Airways, Etihad Airways, Ethiopian Airlines and the intercontinental flights operated by Brussels Airlines who buy a ticket before the 1st of April, can until the same date reserve a free seat on the bus by mentioning their ticket number.
