Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, today (26 March) confirmed that it will not operate scheduled flights to/from Pau Airport for two weeks between 27 July and 8 August as the airport closes to upgrade its ILS landing systems to improve landing capability in adverse weather conditions.
Ryanair operates three routes to and from Pau – Bristol, London Stansted and Brussels Charleroi.
Ryanair and Pau Airport sincerely apologise to all passengers for any inconvenience suffered by this two-week closure to complete these essential upgrade works. This airport upgrade will benefit all passengers in the long term as it will minimise weather-related cancellations and diversions.
Ryanair will contact all affected passengers via email to offer them alternative flights or a full refund.
Ryanair’s Daniel de Carvalho said: “We wish to apologise to passengers for any inconvenience suffered as a result of this two-week closure of Pau Airport between 27 July and 8 August. These essential upgrade works will benefit all passengers in the long term and will help to ensure that all passengers suffer fewer adverse weather-related disruptions on flights to/from Pau.”
