SWISS chooses AviaPartner handling in Lyon

Aviapartner Handling is proud to announce that it has signed a major contract with Swiss International Air Lines for the provision of full handling services in Lyon.

The contract, effective as from 29 March 2009 covers 4 daily flights, operated with Avro ARJ1 aircraft.

The set of full handling services which Aviapartner will provide to Swiss International Air Lines in Lyon includes passenger services (check-in, boarding assistance, baggage tracing services), aircraft handling (loading and unloading, ground power, cleaning, water and sanitary services, freight and baggage transfer, headset, pushback and towing), and traffic operations (flight documentation, communication, crew briefing, and flight supervision).

Swiss International Air Lines are already an important network customer for Aviapartner and this contract in Lyon reinforces the cooperation between the two companies.

Aviapartner, whose origins date back to 1949, is the leading independent ground handler in Continental Europe, with headquarters in Brussels.

The Aviapartner group is articulated into 3 business units: cargo handling, ground handling (ramp services, passenger and baggage handling, ticketing, flight operations and crew administration, load control and communications, surface transport of passengers and crews, operation of airport lounges, catering loading services, and executive aviation services) and technics (aircraft servicing and maintenance).

The company is active at 31 airports in 5 European countries (Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy).
