New noise regulations for Brussels Airport from 25/10/2009

Post by LX-LGX »

On 21th August 2009, Belgium's State Gazette "Moniteur Belge / Belgisch Staatsblad" has published the new rules for what the minister of Transport calls "noisy aircraft". These restrictions are set out in a new national law which will go in force as from 25th October 2009.

English text:
sorry, the Belgian State Gazette has only two languages - NL and FR.

German text :
Because Belgium has three official langauages, all laws must also be translated into German. This is usually done a few months after the publication in NL/FR- and sometimes even only after a few years. So bitte warten Sie...

Hopefully we can get all the courts behind us and concentrate about what an airport is for: flying with respect of the environement
Like someone of the Brussels Airport aviation department said: "we are more then ready to welcome the B787 and A350, those are the future aircraft on our airport."

I also hope that this was the last move. An other move is to close the airport.

Small note: this will not mean that we will not see B747-200 on the airport as from 25 October. They will give the airlines the opportunity to change their equipment. 5 years is the prognose.
