Brussels Airlines expands its partnership with bmi on the Brussels – London route

Ideal schedules for business travel, city trips and connections

In view of its upcoming entrance into Star Alliance, Brussels Airlines extends its codeshare agreement with bmi : as from 25 October onwards London Heathrow will be offered in codeshare with the British airline. The Brussels Airlines customers will then be able to choose from seven daily flights to London Heathrow and two to London Gatwick. The flight schedule is ideal for business travellers, city trippers and passengers with connections beyond Brussels.

As from the start of the winter season, the Brussels Airlines customers will be able to travel on one of the nine daily flights between Brussels and London. Thanks to an extended codeshare agreement with bmi, Brussels Airlines will add seven direct connections to London Heathrow, on top of the two daily flights to Gatwick that are already being offered. This agreement fits into the entrance of Brussels Airlines into Star Alliance, that bmi is already a member.

Since the start of the summer season, Brussels Airlines and bmi co-operate on the routes Leeds Bradford, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Bristol, Birmingham, London Gatwick, Manchester and Newcastle. This codeshare agreement enables Brussels Airlines to add nine UK destinations to its portfolio, representing about 30 daily return flights between Brussels Airport and the UK.

The flight schedule perfectly meets the demand of business travellers as well as of city trippers. The early morning and evening flights fit all kinds of travel. The schedule also allows for smooth connection possibilities onto the African flights offered by Brussels Airlines.

The flight BD149 departs now at 11h50 and arrives at 14h05

Question:
which airplane is normally used between LHR and BRU ?
( important for my hand luggage: if it is the small Embraer I would have to go for a soft bag )
