oneWorld companies move to Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda

Post by sn26567 »

Finnair moves at Stockholm Arlanda to Terminal 5

From November 24, Finnair will use Terminal 5 at Stockholm's Arlanda Airport. At the same time, other oneworld airlines flying to Stockholm - British Airways, Iberia and Malev - will also move to the more modern, more spacious terminal. The new terminal will offer short distances and better services than the old Terminal 2.

After the change, the oneworld companies will have a joint ticket office and a number of self-service check-in kiosks in the terminal. Passengers can also check in at check-in desks 33-44.

All departing passengers will receive automatic SMS reminders about the terminal change for a couple of weeks around the date of move. Finnair actively sends important flight and service information to the mobile number listed in passenger's flight reservation.

"The Baggage Drop desk will be open all day and the security control will have more service points and a separate, fast lane for Business Class passengers and Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver and oneworld top-tier customers. The terminal will also have more shops and restaurants as well as a wider range of products than the old terminal," says Markku Remes, Finnair's Customer Experience Management Manager.

Departing and arriving flights will use Terminal 5's F wing, gates F26-F39. The oneworld airlines' new bright lounge facility is also located in the same wing.

Using the Arlanda Express train, the journey to the airport takes 20 minutes and passengers can check in, if they wish, using the check-in kiosks at Stockholm Railway Station while waiting for the train.

Via Helsinki service concept to and via Finland is now even better and smoother than before, thanks to close cooperation between Swedish Luftfartsverket (LFV) and oneworld airlines.
