Miles & More welcomes Brussels Airlines frequent flyers

Post by sn26567 »

Privilege loyalty programme successfully integrated into Miles & More on 25 October

On Sunday 25 October, Brussels Airlines successfully completed the switch from its frequent flyer programme, Privilege, to Lufthansa's loyalty programme, Miles & More. More than 200,000 customers have transferred to Miles & More since May 2009. Most of the new Miles & More members in Belgium have already received a Miles & More card with the respective status and the Brussels Airlines logo.

The full integration of Brussels Airlines into the Miles & More programme will also benefit existing Miles & More members. Since 29 March, they have been able to earn award miles, status miles and HON Circle miles on Brussels Airlines flights and have also been eligible for numerous privileges such as priority check-in, a 25 per cent Executive Bonus on miles earned and access to Brussels Airlines lounges at airports. These privileges will naturally continue to apply. In addition, all additional Miles & More benefits are also available on Brussels Airlines flights since yesterday. These include, for example, booking guarantees for Senators and HON Circle members, guaranteed flight awards for HON Circle members as well as such offers as the Senator Companion Award, which enables an accompanying per-son to book an award flight for half the usual number of miles required, as the One Way Award or as the Child Award (special award for children).

Brussels Airlines is the ninth carrier after Lufthansa, Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT, Luxair and SWISS to offer its customers Miles & More as its own frequent flyer programme. The integration is a key precondition for Brussels Airlines' successful accession to the Star Alliance on 9 December 2009. The move will also further strengthen the position of Miles & More as Europe's leading frequent flyer programme with more than 17 million members.
