Start of winter season at Brussels Airport

The switch from summer to winter daylight saving time coincides with the start of the winter season in aviation. The timetable for the new season gives an overview of the new and additional services operated from Brussels Airport.

This winter Brussels Airport boasts seven new routes. Jetairfly starts a new weekly service to Mombasa, Zanzibar and Liberia (Costa Rica). Newcomer at Brussels Airport Danube Wings starts a four weekly service to Bratislava and a weekly service to Poprad Tatry. Besides its winter sports flights to Innsbruck and Salzburg transavia.com also operates charter flights to Kuusamo in Finland.

This winter American Airlines will start operating a new direct flight to Boston, with a stop in London Heathrow.

The frequency on a number of routes increases.

Brussels Airlines starts two daily flights to Milan/Linate and a fifth daily flight to Copenhagen. The services to Germany operated by Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa will be optimised. As a result, Brussels Airlines will operate seven flights a day to Berlin and four flights a day to Hamburg. The frequency on the routes to Vilnius, Stockholm, Dakar and Banjul is also increased. Moreover, there are additional flights to several European destinations, especially on weekends.

United Airlines this winter operates an additional flight to Chicago with a stop at London Heathrow.

easyJet further extends its network from Brussels Airport with a new daily flight to Lyon and a second daily flight to Berlin/Schonefeld. easyJet also ups the frequency on its Geneva route.

Finally the airport looks forward to the next summer season with the announcement of new services by Air Canada and Icelandair.
