There is a hot topic in Turkish aviation at the moment: Air Berlin Turkey!!!

According to several forums that Pegasus Airlines and Air Berlin will establish a new company called Air Berlin Turkey. Some group say that IzAir will be re-branded as Air Berlin Turkey and it's base will be moved from Izmir to Antalya. Some other group claim that the company will be established from scratch, it will be completely independent than AB and PGS and based in Antalya.

They have already added a plane into fleet and will add 3 more to comply with min.of 4 plane rule to gain operation certificate and permits from Turkish CAA.

Hello Hakan,

I have read in the latest "Airliner World" issue that IzAir is going to be rebranded as Air Berlin Turkey and that its headquarters are going to be moved to Antalya. The article seems accurate and the magazine has a good reputation. Its reports are nearly always reliable.

I wish them all the best and hope to fly with them soon .
