No more LH A380 between FRA and SIN?

Post by Flanders »

Hello all,

I was just checking my trip at checkmytrip.com and saw that SIN - FRA LH779 on april 9 has been downgraded from A380 to B747. Anyone know why? I prefered the A380 because of the new and modern interior. I remember flying PEK-BRU on LH B747 a few years ago and it had no IFE in coach. Is that still the case?

Greetings,

Flanders.

The reason could be anything so I don't have a idea about that.
Some of the 747's are being refurbished with a IFE installed in Y. At the end of April 10 747's should be finished. So maybe you are lucky to fly on one of the new ones

You are not lucky, they are flying the 747 in April : http://airlineroute.net/2012/03/01/lh-sin-s12update1/

I read last year that LH is to refurbish 10 of it's newest 747's, new F, old C, new Y (new seat+ ife). 10 will go into 2-class, and the oldest 10 will stay the way they are until they retire. Not sure which one you will be on.
