Hi
my first pictures for february---have had lots of snow the last 3/4 days--first day the sun has been out in 5 days---pictures not great--still trying to get my pictures sharp. :? :? :? :?. No contrails today.
The LTU A330 was going west(about 15 km away)----both thomson.com aircraft going east.

Overhead weather remains quite miserable, only on the 6th a few hours of sunshine.
That day, on UL608, this bird was cruising at 38000 ft. For once no distortions but sadly also no contrail.

Hi all,

I am new to this forum. I started with contrail photography some 4 years ago. Equipment:
Refractor 80mm - 1200mm. Always a big challenge concerning the amount of light.
Normally ISO 400 shots at 1/125. Sometimes however with some good results:

Image

Photo taken on 1 February with details QTR 3056 A7-ACF 121º F245C out of EHAM.

My position in the Netherlands is just north of BASGU (51°54'44.29"N 005°50'59.75"E) offering NAPSI departures
from EDDF as wel as EHAM dep to the east. Furthermore traffic using highway UL480 offering SIA, UAE and QFA A380's
and other Far East flights inbound the UK. Also limited military traffic like Awacs orbits (NL-2). Of course if weather
permits ;)

Meanwhile I have ordered a 8" Dobson Skywatcher which I really hope improves the quality of my pictures.
If so I will be a regular contributor to this forum.

Finally a big "thumbs up" to all the contributors to this forum!

Regards,

Rob
