The French/Belgian newspaper La Libre Belgique has some invoice details from personal expenses and spilling airport's money by MRs De Groeve, chairman of the board and a political nominee.

It seems that Marcel Buelens, as non-political CEO, had protested too loud against these expenses.

Don't forget we are in Charleroi, it is a HUGE mess with many political/financial abuse since many many years.
It will take year to clean that, sadly. But as more and more of the iceberg is discovered, it's getting cleaner, hopefully...

I don't understand why. I'm just happy I have my conscience at ease and was not cheated by the political party I voted for. I remember one from the CDH saying that an alliance with the PS was out of the question. Nice strategy. Not very honest but I guess the ends justify the means.

Indeed, he made CRL what it is today: big in LC. He was the man behind every new route to CRL: Ryanair and Wizzair. The latest new client was Jetairfly and also they also will fly more and more out of CRL.

Marcel Buelens was also man of the year.

One day after the elections -> he was flying to the door. That is no respect for the man.

Marcel, you are welcome at Brussels Airport where they have respect for every employee.

It's still planned ... don't know about the dates
They received the permit one month ago

But this is interesting :

We may never see Charleroi-JFK, but we may see Charleroi-sharm el sheikh ...

Yes, I would say it is a direct flight. They fly to Pescara indeed, twice a week in Summer (Thursdays in the afternoon and Sundays in the morning).
