EVA MD-11

Post by meerkat »

I got to spend 30 minutes or so near the water tower at 25L today and was able to look at the ramp outside Sabena hangar. I was surprised to see an EVA MD-11 there. Anyone know why it is receiving maintenance and which aircraft it is?

A/c is AOG. Some tube is broken. Spares are already in BRU but stuck with customs.

I think it is B16110, but will check and confirm.

744rules,

Do you maybe know what for tube was broken on the EVA-air aircraft?

it was a tube supplying air for the wing de-iceing/anti-icing system. It was torn by setting flaps for landing. That's what I was told. Seems to be a known problem on MD11
