Imagine: you buy a Cirrus because it is so safe with the build in parachute. You hit a glider and your Cirrus catches fire.
And you decend than so slowly that you are burn't alive in the cockpit.

I would like to write something about Cirrus and diesel engines, but I won't. It is not the right moment.

You hit a glider...

The Cirrus did not hit a glider, he hit the towrope of the Piper Pawnee towplane. The Pawnee went out of control and crashed immediately after the collision. The Cirrus came down on its parachute as we all could see. The pilot of the glider was able to release seconds before the midair occurred and had to fly through the flaming debris from the collision before landing safely at Boulder airport. The 3 people that died in this unfortunate accident where the 2 on board of the Cirrus and the pilot of the Pawnee.

More recent reports state that the Cirrus and Pawnee did indeed have a mid-air collision, a change from earlier reports that the tow rope was hit. Also, there is at least one report that the occupants of the Cirrus were falling separately from the burning plane.
