Updated my first post.
But bruairport.be is a mess and not really up to date it seems, so I wouldn't rely on the listed departure times.
It seems the planes will not leave BRU today after all.

[/i]http://www.heathrowairport.com:
Heathrow Airport will not be accepting arrivals on Sunday, and will only manage a handful of departures as our airfield team continues to deal with the impacts of yesterday's bad weather and prepares the airport for a full re-opening on Monday.
We are extremely sorry for the disruption this will cause to passengers and airlines and we stress that passengers must check with their airlines before travelling to the airport. We will provide regular updates.
We have 200 aircraft parking stands and have a team of several hundred people working to treat these airside areas and to keep passengers in the terminal as warm and as comfortable as possible while we do everything we can to get Heathrow moving.
We are removing 30 tonnes of snow from each stand, but the temperature remains firmly below zero and Heathrow's capacity is limited to the extent that all parking stands are occupied by aircraft, making the job of clearing and treating them more difficult.
Safety is our first priority and we hope this course of action will allow us to offer a fuller service to passengers and airlines using Heathrow tomorrow.
It seems the planes will not leave BRU today after all.

Re: BRU 19/12/2010
Indeed, SN is cancelling all of its LHR ops for today, even the flights leaving tonight.
LHR will remain closed for inbound flights the whole day, because only 1 RWY is cleared and all gates are taken, so they first need to 'empty' the airport so to say before flights can start to arrive.

Updated first post. Could anyone confirm whether the aircrafts in black are still in BRU ?

Arik Air is expected to depart at 15LT to Newcastle.

Re: BRU 19/12/2010
Left my office in Diegem and made a short detour to BRU at 2 p.m. (but did not get out of my car as there was quite heavy snow). Have seen the FB, SU, BG, KU (parked at the satellite to the right of the main terminal), and the AA near Abelag. No idea where the real beauties were hiding though (Arik Air A340 and the Kingfisher A330).torchus wrote:Updated first post. Could anyone confirm whether the aircrafts in black are still in BRU ?

Complaint of a Jet Airways passenger on Tweeter: the passengers have been abandoned by the crew there. Passengers have got food & bedding after 9 hours of being at the airport.

Re: BRU 19/12/2010
Now it's even rumoured that some of the heavies might get back to their base overseas.
One night was OK for those obliged to stay in transit, two...
All hotels around EBBR are full. The backlog of passengers to transport in Europe has just become huge.
No doubt all the passengers will never be able to reach their final destination by Christmas as all the bookings were very very full for this week with or without snow.
Terrible year for the air travellers. . .

Re: BRU 19/12/2010
Didn't know crew are obliged to "nurse" passengers on the ground if they don't have a visa... Strange, must be new I guess. Or are pax all becoming assisted-assistance minded ???sn26567 wrote:Complaint of a Jet Airways passenger on Tweeter: the passengers have been abandoned by the crew there. Indeed, this plane (OO-DWG) is going to OST. OO-DWH (BEL88B) now in a holding pattern above FLO. Looks like TCW7815 (OO-TCP) is going that way as well.sn26567 wrote:No take-offs since 14:30. No landings either: SN 2582 from Berlin TXL has just been diverted.
