Have seen the FB, SU, BG, KU (parked at the satellite to the right of the main terminal), and the AA near Abelag. No idea where the real beauties were hiding though (Arik Air A340 and the Kingfisher A330).
Parked at the apron 2 South

Normally??? Are you in Hawai, or in Patagonia? Take a look out of your window, otherwise, and with any common sense you will see no airport can be operating normally in this kind of weather. As an alternative, you could consult some news/information services. If even Heathrow is completely unavailable, Zaventem can not be expected to operate "normally". Actually, what can be taken as "normal" under these circumstances? Every single flight that manages to somehow operate now is a resounding success for all involved - flight deck crew, ATC operators, meteo staff, ground handling, and many many more.

Tweet from Brussels Airport one minute ago: Brussels Airport is still open. Please check the flight info on our website for more details about your flight.

BEL88B left the holding area around FLORA and is about to land on 25R. 25L closed at the moment.

A great thumbs up for the staff of airlines, handling and airport operating at BRU.

If it can help:
Some ex-colleagues who were scheduled to travel long-haul via LHR asked me to find accommodation for them.
I didn't find rooms in Brussels but there were hotel rooms available in Antwerp and in Gent for tonight and tomorrow.
Antwerp can be reached easily using the Airport Express bus departing from the underground of the airport or by train, Gent by train via Brussels North station.

Did I see that right ?
THY1939 approaching 25R, while PGT802 took off some minutes earlier on 07R ?

Edit: confirmed by ATIS, ARR RWY25R DEP RWY07R.

Don't know f it helps either, but check Leuven as well, just 13 minutes by train from the airport!

For all those stranded... Good luck!

Cheers,

They are 2 different runways (25R/07L and 25L/07R), so could be. If STAR and SID don't have crossing paths, there shouldn't be a conflict.

I know, I was just a bit surprised as I've never seen this configuration before.

Thumbs up indeed for all involved people!

Flights will be authorised from Brussels Airport during the night from 19 to 20 December, in order to evacuate the hundreds of passengers still stuck in te terminal and the neighbouring hotels, says State Secretary of Mobility Etienne Schouppe.

Meanwhile the Korean 747 left to ... Madrid as KE 907 !

KAL521 (Korean Air Cargo 744) missed approach on 25RI think, now heading direction Antwerp.

And a runway switch to 02 for arrivals.

Looks like BRU is closed for arrivals?

Several planes were holding, but they all seem to be heading for rw02 now. BEL72A is now on short finals, so BRU is not closed for arrivals.

KAL521 is about to make his base turn and will try to land again.

Interesting tool, despite of the 15 minutes delay.

Is there perhaps another site that shows real time EBBR traffic for free?

Thanks
