BRU 27/12/2010

Post by torchus »

DL140 from New York and SN2910 from Vienna are cancelled.

Bruairport website still not working 100%..., when will they finally upgrade their server ?

By the way, what runway configuration can we expect tomorrow ? Winds are expected to be 3 Bft SSW to SSE.

Hm. 3 Bft?

TAF EBBR 261700Z 2618/2724 23006KT 2500 BR BKN007 PROB40 2618/2621 0800 FG BKN003 PROB40 2621/2707 0800 FZFG BKN003 BECMG 2709/2712 6000 NSW SCT012=

At only 6 knots, wind will not be decisive. Runway clearing will be more relevant. If the airport can operate at all, the present forecast doesn't preclude it but forecasts are not always reliable.

And by the way, their website is working as expected. It is in "minimal" mode, but that is a human decision, nothing to do with the servers.

I'd like to know that reason then. Probably so that travellers can find arrival/departure information much easier, but that is one silly reason.

Heavy snow storms on the east coast of the United States. I guess this the reason for cancellation/delay of most flights coming from New York, Toronto, ...

9W225 and 227 from New York and Newark are indeed also cancelled. 9W229 from Toronto heavily delayed.

The Air Algerie A332 landed at about 13.05 LT. Nice surprise!

Not the best picture, but the light conditions were extremely bad!

Haven't seen the British Airways 763 though.

Very nice picture! The A332 is probably the most photogenic aircraft around.
