Re: BRU 05/12/2011
As far as I could see, there's a EU meeting tonight where the Chairman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam and the president of the European Parliament are scheduled to meet. Although I doubt it that there aren't any other personalities and meetings involved - would be rather strange that a National Assembly Chairman travels in a triple 7.chineseboy wrote:Established02 wrote:Vietnam Airlines B777 just arrived at Abelag.

No pics, but just saw it parked at Abelag - in a very 'photogenic' position, just next to the Armenian government plane. You can see it in all its glory if you drive up and on the way back down the ramp of the A201. Great livery !

Re: BRU 05/12/2011
Why? Political leaders often travel in their countries big jets (recent visit to Belgium by Cameron (UK PM) on a Virgin 346 and Blair used a BA Triple) if they have no specific government aircraft. Vietnam triples have visited BRU before but, if memory serves, they normally park at Melsbroek.would be rather strange that a National Assembly Chairman travels in a triple 7.

Political leaders : I agree, but in my opinion, I thought that a chairman of the national assembly is more like a ceremonial function (Viet Nam has a president and a prime minister as well). But maybe I'm not familiar enough with the ins and outs of Viet Nam politics, still, officially, a communist country for now...)Reg E S Potter wrote: Why? Hi
I know it's hard to know since it's governmental flight .. but ANYONE any idea when it's about to leave (or at least if it will be there tomorrow whole day? I could come over and see it then)?
Thx & regards, Yannick
