According to FR24, the last flight to take off from EGPH was U2810 at 1754z to LGW.
Next was to be U26995 to MAD, operated by G-EZUO.
She seemed to have taxied but stopped short of the RWY. Either something (major) made the RWY u/s or G-EZUO went off the pavement and is stuck there for a while, closing the AD till tomorrow morning.
GLA is a good alternate, about 1-hour drive from EDI.

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2021
A KLM Boeing 777-300ER cargo plane registered PH-BVR, which was en route on flight KL895 to Seoul in South Korea, turned over over Russian airspace on Sunday evening to set course back to Schiphol. A spokeswoman confirms a report about this on the Flightradar website. The reason for this is that the captain got feverish en route. In view of corona, it was decided to return as a precaution.

ANA flight #NH8549, Chicago-Tokyo, Boeing 777-300ER reg. JA787A, squawking 7700 and turning back toward Chicago shortly after departure. Currently jettisoning fuel. Reason: engine problems.

I have just learned that the flight made an emergency landing at LPA because a passenger died.

Always beats me how they say ‘the controllers decided to divert the aircraft’...
Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2021
OK, it's the pilot who decides, but I guess the controllers could advise going to Las Palmas rather than to Arrecife or Fuerteventura (which were closer) because of better medical facilities.

Quick inspection as the SIA 74 was 5nm behind.
