A Boeing B747-8 BBJ, an ex-Saudi government plane, has left Basel-Mulhouse airport for Marana to be parted out. MSN 40065 had only 42 flight hours on the clock. What a waste!
The B747-8 BBJ is now owned by Boeing since April 12th.
Far too early to say it will be scrapped (I doubt very much that Boeing purchased it and then bring it to the scrap man).
My bet is that it will be sold again.

Korean Air intends to resume B747-8 service on Seoul Incheon – Atlanta route, in October 2022.
This has nothing to do with 747 news.
No indeed, it is about the 747-8, so I would clearly post it in the 'Brussels Airlines Fleet Renewal' topic instead of in the Boeing 747-8 topic
Let’s start posting every single route re-opening per type in the corresponding thread, then! Good idea. That’s gonna be interesting in the 737 news thread.

It seems that this B747-8 BBJ will be scrapped indeed. The process has started. Sad to see...

After only 40 flight hours! 40 hours in 10 years of service: some Governments really have too, much money. What a waste, what a shame!
