Aviation24.be is following reports that KLM has decided to extract its crew from Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, after a security threat. Last night, KLM flight 515 departed back to Amsterdam with the crew supposed to stay overnight as deadheading crew.
Much to the dislike of some business class passengers, who were transferred into economy class.

KLM adamant over Tanzania civil unrest claim, apologises to Kenya
The Tanzanian ministry said operations at the Dar-es-Salaam Julius Nyerere International Airport and Kilimanjaro International Airport continued without any interruptions, the entire weekend.
KLM has maintained its stand over the civil unrest in Tanzania but has apologised to Kenya regarding a statement they issued on Friday, January 27 that said that there was potential civil unrest in the two countries. (Note: Which two countries? Tanganyika and Zanzibar? They merged into one country decades ago!)
The position comes at a time when Tanzanian authorities have urged the public to ignore the statement calling it baseless.

As they apologised to Kenya it’s quite clear the two countries are Kenya and Tanzania, isn’t it?sn26567 wrote: ↑29 Jan 2023, 16:34
