Dear Atlantis, i understand your comments and efforts to try to justify BRU and SN weaknesses...
But it becomes pathetic.
You, like BRU and SN loose all credibilty.

It is just sad to see poor performance.

Not sure if that’s the best option.
There’s a lot of political unrest in Africa lately with a coup somewhere every two to three months for the last three years. Often countries which are not deemed newsworthy, but these coups will certainly have an influence on investments in and travel to/from these countries specifically and maybe even Africa in general..

that's the strength of Brussels Airlines, it's precisely having the experience of being able to continue to fly to Africa otherwise it would be too easy and the competition would come quickly people anyway will continue to fly ....

Even if it means cancelling LAD now and then? (Sorry Patrice, couldn’t resist. ;) )

Transavia will keep growing.
Next summer, more aircraft will be based at BRU (according to one source, 2 extra aircraft → 4) due to limited capacity at Eindhoven and Rotterdam, contraction at Schiphol (-8% for HV) and a record success in Belgium. Around 20% of their BRU passengers are Dutch, and this will also increase thanks to better fares.

*New destinations have not yet been revealed, but some of their 2020 plans may return (Thessaloniki is on their website, but still not bookable), bringing the total number of routes to +/- 20 (now 11).

Next year still no ATL with Delta to Brussels. Question is if it ever will come back.
Also Dusseldorf is losing this connection.

Actually they are lacking aircraft at the moment, I guess they had priorities on other routes. Maybe next time will be the one who knows

And they are still flying the old ones, also to BRU.

Another reason they gave was that the route to Dusseldorf had lack of potential and the prices were too low to make it profitable.

Seems like SN is resuming Krakow 4 weekly every 1-3-5-7 from 31 of March.

I just checked on SN’s website flights level BRU at 09:35 and land at 11:30 departure from Krakow at 12:20 and land at BRU 14:15

Very good if will confirmed also. Took the flight in the past a few times. Was always full. OK, full means not profitable but it's the second biggest capital in Poland

Happy about that! Would also be nice if they can something from SFO or IAH. Pity JetBlue didn’t maybe try at least seasonal flights to BRU from BOS

I think that second daily was made possible with a small 752 due to the 77W being removed from EWR in S24 (-32 seats vs 78X) and the constant delays with XLR (at least S25) + I wouldn't be surprised if IAD also gets doubled in the future. For the new destinations, hopefully next year as new 787 will arrive but as you can see in the press release, there is only one real new route (Faro) announced for S24, most likely due to lack of aircraft.

About JetBlue, only time (really soon) will tell if they lose their slots at AMS but chances are high. If so, I'm pretty sure they'll transfer their ops to BRU.
