Hi all,

got some info concerning an ad hoc cargo charter from Manston to Dubai: S2-ADT on Sunday (postponed till tuesday). Unfortunately no times are available to me, so if anyone knows more... please do inform us.

This is the Ex N707CK wich was planned to start regular Cargo services to MST some months ago.
After a L1011 showed up on the first few flights she came only once before she got problems in Afrika. After this flight we never saw her back at mst and also the L1011 didn't returned.

It looks like the plane is repaired again and flying for another company now.

Best Regards,
Yvo

I think we must create a planespotters-information via sms-something! To give you updates on the latest developments! 0.50€ per SMS ;)

Good idea Bart, and every member gets each year a credit of 100€ :frantic:

But poor Brubiac who is sitting in the tower will have a lot of work to do ;)

The flight was originally scheduled for Ostend, so that explains the delay :-) You'll have to get used to it...

I just heard on the radio that there is a major strike in Bangladesh for the moment. I didn't hear everything and will have to listen to the news to confirm.

Anyway, I hope this doesn't affect the B747's arrival in BRU. But if there is a major strike we might expect a big delay this evening.

Chris,
The flight is coming in from Manston (U.K).
A delay in arrival is still possible but I think you can expect a much bigger delay in the departure depending in the strikes in Bangladesh.

Vonsmal we had to wait for 2 weeks before she showed up in MST.
SO maybe you want to take your tent with you to the airport

But seriously,
As far as I know the plane was stranded in Africa with severe damage to the undercariage.
I wouldn't be surprise when there was more damage to the plane they discovered later when the plane was at Manston or even yesterday during the pre-flight checks.

Yvo
