Watch out for G-BMRE of DHL !!!

Post by Kapitein »

They applied a sticker to G-BMRE with the titles " F1 Officiale Logistics ".
DHL and the Formula One has a contract to transport al the parts that belongs to the F1 (correct me if I'm wrong). Now DHL put it finally on there aircrafts. Don't know if there are others, G-BMRE is the only one I saw with this titles.

I know it's hard to catch them during daylight but maybe she's seen sometimes during the day.

Great, so there are a few of them having the stickers. That'll make it easier to see one :)

Thanks for info

By the way, do you know whether all 757's will receive those stickers ???

And a little bit off topic, but do you know when the first A300 of EAT will get the yellow colours ???

Thanks
Chris

I Don't know for sure that they will do all 757's but it looks like all the 757 that are staying during the day , that these get the F1- stickers , G-BIKN and G-BIKO has now also the stickers.(Its done by Sabena-technics)

I don't think that the will repaint the A300's in the new Yellow Livery. Because they are starting to look for replacements.

OO-DLJ the only PF 757 is repainted with the Yellow colors after its C-check.

Do you maybe know which aircraft could be an option as a replacement for the A300-200. Could it be the -600 or another type of plane ?

It could be that they will be replaced by A300-600's , but I heared they are rather expensive. There were also rumours to replace them with MD-11 ( but i don't think so). Also 767-200 , but there is a problem with the containers, they are a few inch to tall .

767-200 would the best solution i think.
for pilots and maintenance, because, the 757 and 767 are quit equal in maintaining and flying.

There is also a rumour that they will be replaced by 757's. for 1 common fleet and noise level , so they will expland like to 100 757's.
Of course we have to see with our own eyes what will arrive....

If it's true what Verhofstadt told last week, DHL will add 777-freighters in 2010.

Wait and see...

But I don't think he knew what he said  A T7 is way too big and makes too much noise I think... (Too bad, otherwise I would get crazy :rotate:

I think a B763F will be more likely...

Indeed, but he clearly said "... de aankoop van Boeing zeven zeven zeven vrachtvliegtuigen voor de lange afstand in 2010". The feature was covered in the VRT-news the day before his accident.

I was confused too, because I think there isn't any B777F around yet. But when Verhofstadt is talking about the long-range flights, maybe he's talking then about a replacement for the older DC-8's...

Boeing considers the developement of the 777F

News that Boeing is apparently continuing studies into the development of a B777 freighter(around 2008-2009), means good news for some of the world’s leading cargo airlines, which have expressed interest in this specific variant. Payload Asia reports.

So in time maybe we will see some at BRU !

Saying now in 2004 that they will aquire 3 B777F's in 2010 shouldn't be trusted entirely. Note that the B777F program isn't launched yet and that in 6 years time a lot of things can happen.
