Hi,

to bad.. we'll have to wait..
Pity it will look like LH in old SN colours then..
To me the elder paint scheme black/yellow tiger as there was on the Bae146 next to BRU runaway
was more Africa to me ... ( and cheaper IMO )..
Now a new paint for SN/Br.Air ?

Livery is visible in the November issue of Travel express (page 14)... so I guess it's publishable

If so, could you scan a copy and publish it on Luchtzak?

no pictures--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

It's going to be a white fuselage with a darkblue tail (also covering the rear portion of the fuselage) and it will feature an oversized white crane bird.
Apart from that, there will be red Korongo titles on the front fuselage, titles which are accompanied by a smaller logo repeat.

Indeed, it looks far better than SN's own hybrid scheme; maybe they should sex up the current Brussels Airlines one to match that of Korongo's?

about 6 weeks to complete.
This is confirmed! This afternoon I went to the 'tennisclub' at Brucargo to eat my sandwiches in the car and to watch the take-offs on RWY 25R. I noticed that OO-MJE was not on the SN maintenance-ramp anymore. They probably towed it inside... ;)

There was also a Bae-146-200 that they are stripping all the parts of. It's there without engines, APU, airbrakes etc... (??OO-DJF??) I think this latter was already known.

Yes, that one is currently being broken up to have ample spare parts for the Bae146 going to Korongo.

It would have been more intelligent to fly it to Lubumbashi and to break it up there!

What a surprise! SN has one of the ugliest and most boring liveries in aviation history, so it's not very hard to do better than thàt!

The plane wasn't airworthy any more after almost 2 years of standstill in BRU, so it should have had costly maintenance done just for a single ferry flight? Not sure if that is so intelligent really...

This might well imply a copyright infringement, which we shouldn't encourage. Especially those of us who are administrators... };-)

In principle, you are right, but I'm not sure that a picture of a logo or an aeroplane that everyone will be able to see in the future are really subject to copyrights. Everyone has already seen this one on Luchtzak:

However, when in doubt I will abstain and I withdraw from my demand to scan and publish on Luchtzak.

The airline's web address will be flykorongo.com

It was registered back in March already.
