Abnormalities at BRU / ANR / LGG / CRL / OST
2 flights from Northern Africa to BRU have been diverted - apparently to Lille - and many other fligths are delayed.
TU726 - ETA 11h20 - from Monastir/Djerba: diverted (? to Lille ?)
8A448 - ETA 11h30 - from Nador/Tangier: diverted (? to Lille?)
Is fog the problem ?

Re: BRU 27/01/2009 : 2 flights diverted
Does there always have to be a new topic opened about the BRU flights for every single day?? It is getting annoying.
Moderator, can you change this?

Perhaps it's better with this topic title - usable for all flight abnormalities.saratoga wrote:Does there always have to be a new topic opened about the BRU flights for every single day?? It is getting annoying.

Just drove 50km on the highway, it's very strange this time, there are cloud of fog only in some places, but it is extremely dense.

On Teletekst, ISTR a BEE flight from Manchester diverted to Ostend - diverted from BRU, assumedly?

if you mean SN with "BEE flight" there was no div at OSTjan_olieslagers wrote:On Teletekst, ISTR a BEE flight from Manchester diverted to Ostend - diverted from BRU, assumedly?

28/01/2008 : SN453 (A330) to Nairobi/Bujumbura is announced as BRU-BRU.
Flight info from Brussels Airport says ETD was 10h40, but the flight was delayed till 11h40 - and apparently returned to the gate at 11h52.
Correct ?

@ Saratoga
Don't be annoyed. Just don't open that post if you are uninterested in movements. You have the choice!!!
C
ps abnormalities sounds like bodily disfunction. Perhaps unusual might be a better choice of word

No, BEE is the ICAO code for FlyBe, and they diverted their MAN-BRU to OST.fc82091 wrote:if you mean SN with "BEE flight" there was no div at OSTjan_olieslagers wrote:On Teletekst, ISTR a BEE flight from Manchester diverted to Ostend - diverted from BRU, assumedly?

If I write BEE I mean BEE.
Life can be simple, if only you give it a chance.
Re: Abnormalities at BRU / ANR / LGG / CRL / OST
so using the IATA code for one airline and the ICAO for an other is keeping it easy ?
i guessed the "BEE flight" was referring to BEE-LINE but thats just me making it too difficult then

I thought my dislike for IATA-codings to be well-known, perhaps even legendary... but in this case I must admit I was lazy, I just copied the BEE from the teletekst screen.

02 Febr : all flights to/from the United Kingdom are delayed. Some are even cancelled.
Seems one runway at LHR is closed now.

The delays I saw both in FRA and BRU this morning (mostly to LHR) were quite substantial, sometimes 4 or 5 hoursLX-LGX wrote:02 Febr : all flights to/from the United Kingdom are delayed. Some are even cancelled.

Surprisingly my flight into BRU was more than on time (LH 4572 from FRA), despite the snow in BRU (the runway was still more or less white when we touched down around 10am). I was surprised to see quite a number of de-icing trucks on their way but nobody was trying to move the snow from the runways or taxiways - was it not enough snow for this?

Air France cancelled 30 short- and medium-haul flights this morning at CDG. No long-haul flight was cancelled.

All that because of 2cm of snow ?
Re: Abnormalities at BRU / ANR / LGG / CRL / OST
Two weeks ago (Monday 27th January), JAF103 to Montego Bay / Puerto Plata left at 17h35 - ETD was 06h05.
Today (Monday 9th February): same flight, same route : same delay. JAF103 with ETD 06h05 is now announced as delayed till 16h00.
Is this Murphy's law, bad luck or is it because of late arrival of the aircraft, ex. due to a back up for another TUI carrier?

Seems SN351 (Brussels to Kinshasa) had to return to BRU after take off?
