Flight LX 778/SN 5106/AA 6222 from ZRH.

A larger plane was used because of the cancellation of the privous flight LX 786/SN 5104/AA 6270.

Departed 13.23 to ZRH as LX 779/SN 5105/AA 6282.

Very unusual indeed. Where are the pics?

I also saw the C-40 (Boeing BBJ) of the USA.

Must have been a very special passenger: a lot of security guys with dogs and other stuff, a lot of military high ranks, .... at Abelag

There will be a lot of nice birds again I think because tomorrow there is a NATO-meeting ;) Now the big question: when will they arrive.

Hi Blackhawk

A340-313 (X) :- 161 MU B-2383 MU0551 ZBAA-EBBR 1806 20040401

A340-313 (x)= aircraft type
161 = construction number 161
B-2383 = registration
MU0551 = flight number China Eastern 551
ZBAA-EBBR = routing Beijing to Brussels
1806 = ETA 1806
20040401 = dtae 1/4/04

looks like your system works just fine, not sure if it showed up though,

Hi Blackhawk and everyone else who cares to want to know

Further checking on this finds it is the London LHR flight, the reason for the original EBBR destination on ACARS is that the aircraft is has an dispatch reclearance on route. IE, when the flight leaves it is very critical weight wise versus fuel carried on board therefore the flight departs with a destination of BRU with alternate of LHR (it's real destination), at point X the airline dispatch office will recalculate fuel versus weight and decide if there is the legal amount of fuel onboard and then reclear it to it's alternate airport. MU551 safely landed at LHR at 1920 LT.

It's good to watch though, because it's pretty standard practice on long haul flights and if the winds in the wrong direction, BRU gets a diversion,

Any questions just ask for clarification,
Rgds

Oh, they finally switched to the rwys 25 again for landing?
Does anyoine have an idea why I (living in Bonheiden near Mechelen, right where they intercept the rwy 20 ILS beam) had the luck to enjoy all those approaches to rwy 20 the last couple of days? Not just the winds I presume, they were pretty light ...
