If they come to do Berlin,... it would be another bomb in SN's network.
Tragic. I wish the SN staff a lot of strength in the upcoming difficult times.
I also include the top management, because I'm sure that they are doing everything within their abilities and power, even if I don't often agree with their strategies.

no i don t think it would be this. Germania is specialised in charter flight for other operator. I think they simply got a contract with an enterprise doing busyness in belgium or they got a contract with a TO. But in both case it will be good for Brussels Airlines as Air Berlin is not flying to Brussels.

But now if it s actually Gambia Bird wich plan to start the operation here, it will be another think...

They have very few scheduled flights out of Berlin and certainly not to Western Europe. As said by crew1990, that's not their market segment.

Brussels Airlines to wet-lease an ERJ-145 from bmi regional in Spring

bmi regional will again wet-lease an ERJ-145 to Brussels Airlines beginning Spring this year. According to ch-aviation schedule data, the leased twinjet will operate Brussels National to Bristol Int'l flights with effect from March 30. Brussels Airlines currently uses Dash 8-400s from Flybe on the route that is served three times daily.

Just found this article about ANA and their future plan.

http://www.air-journal.fr/2014-02-16-an ... 99384.html

Sorry this is in French so I will explain in English.

Basically nothing really new apart from the fact that they plan to expand in the next year and open new routes wich are not yet served by any other Japan company, Brussels come of course in my mind. They say they will start to lauch the new routes with the arrival of the new 787.

They also say that they will increase the capactity seat-kilometers of 45 pourcent on the international route in the 2 next year.

SN to add a second daily LIS flight from 28/06 till 31/08, operated on A319.

The flight leaves BRU in the late afternoon, returning to BRU close to midnight, except on Sunday when it operates earlier.

Indeed, they seem to have added yet another flight there. Didn't see it being reported yet. Lisbon is getting a lot of extra capacity, which is good as I plan on going on city trip there with all the miles I've gathered so far this year. :)

Just a question because I guess I missed something. Was JAF already planning from the start 2 flights a week to MIA? Tought they would do only 1 flight a week. Just saw that there are flights on Monday and Saturday

Aegean Airlines will fly to Thessaloniki only once per week (from 2 June 2014), instead of the twice-weekly service previously announced.

Indeed, but that will be once again for a very short period in the holiday season. They did the same last year.

Anyone here has some info about the project of building 20 new gates in the west part of the jetée A?

And can we expect as well a new organisation of the airport like a didicated terminal for star alliance or a dedicated one for the long haul?

And what about the low cost prodject?

I believe A Pier West was supposed to be build after the Connector is finished, but I believe BRU delayed the project last year because of the lower need after Jet and AA axed 4 daily long haul flights together, the T zone for SN is being expanded with two gates at the far end of the pier and two new gates were created at Pier B after relocating the bus terminal.
crew1990 wrote: And can we expect as well a new organisation of the airport like a didicated terminal for star alliance or a dedicated one for the long haul?
As long as the current terminal can handle the pax, I don't see the need for a second (possibly dedicated) terminal. But I believe there is a second terminal included in the (very) long term plans of the airport. With A Pier West SN and partners can already operate under one roof, so there is no need to build a complete new terminal building for that as well, at least as long as the current building can hanle the demand.
crew1990 wrote: And what about the low cost prodject?
The same, for the time being there is no need to built LCC facilities as that's not the current focus of the airport, but if LCC's become bigger at the airport with the current terminal building getting quite full, they could relocate the LCC's (or part of these operations) to free up space in the rest of the airport. That's a cheaper and faster solution for a capacity constraint than building a complete new terminal.
