I'd reckon it's the 'Turkish' SunExpress which will operate the route, the German daughter was set up to serve non-Turkish destinations from Germany under a German AOC.
BTW- the tentative schedule makes some nice connections with SN's European and longhaul network AND Lufthansa owns a 50% stake in SunExpress, so the 2 might give it a thought to codeshare and sell a few more seats each....

If it was set up to serve non-Turkish destinations, it's not the case anymore. From Dusseldorf I see SunExpress Germany taking of every day to non-touristik destination in Turkey like kasiary, ankara etc... but to other destination like Erbil and sulamanya in Iraq or holiday destination.
However if Sun Express is coming to BRU it can't be bad for SN as Sun Express is linked with Lufthansa. However it's bad for JAF witch see a new competitor on that route.

Adria Airways to start Verona-Brussels? The Slovenian airline is said to launch a base at the Italian airport, feeding into Lufthansa Group hubs including flights to Brussels, Vienna and Zurich. http://www.balkans.com/open-news.php?un ... ber=183131
Already the second new destination of Easyjet ex-BRU in a short time (of course after a period of no new ones).
LC grows every month at BRU and is still important.

U2 are also opening a base in HAM next summer and it's a safe bet they will connect it to BRU, although the new routes from their second German base still need to be confirmed.
Easyjet .. My alternative for my bankrupted Alitalia flight to Naples ?
Hope not, but Why Naples is so growing nowadays?
Flights from Eindhoven by Transavia already started also, Brussels Airlines,Alitalia with stop and the regular charters... South italy booming again?

So far easyJet has not been competing directly with FR on the Belgian market.
