On the Brussels Airlines website they say that there are only connections from long haul to CDG, FRA and ZRH. So I am almost sure this is a mistake on the BRU website. As far only 8 short haul and 3 long haul planned at BRU on Monday.

Indeed, the information on websites SN and BRU are quite different, but I thought that the arrivals/departure on the website of BRU were automaticall generated from the system, no?

I have yet another question: is SN adding gradually in BRU, replacing flights in LGG, ANR, ...; or is it rather an extension of their operations?

I'm sorry but there is still something I don't understand ... I'm totally aware of the fact that the departure hall is totally destroyed and that it will take several months to rebuild it completely. Like anybody said on this forum, they didn't use only firecrackers ...

But, except of the departure hall, the rest of the airport is, so far as I know,perfectly suitable for operations. The arrivals level, baggage handling system, Pier A, Pier B, Connector, passport control, security checks for passengers, ... are fully OK. So practically, the problem concerns only people travelling out of Brussels with checked luggage ! Most of people travelling for business are travelling with handbagage only, people in connection are staying in transit zone, arriving passengers are not affected. So why, f.. hell do we have to close the whole airport for months for this specific problem ??? Why do passengers travelling with handbagage only have to go trough the temporary installations for check-in ? Why can't they go directly to the entrance of Connector through a temporary protected corridor in the north part of the departure hall ?

Some airports (like HKG) offer the possibility of checking luggage in a check in area in the city. It was also the case in Brussels in "the good old times of Sabena". Why can't we make temporary installations for bagage dropping outside the airport (there are plenty of sqm of free offices in Zaventem or Brussels City ...). People could even drop their bagage the day before travelling to avoid queuing at the airport. And so only a minimum of travellers would have to use the temporary check in installations and 20% of the capacity could indeed be sufficient.

I'm not a Professional of aviation world, I'm only a aviation enthusiast and a frequent traveller and user of BRU, so maybe is there something wrong in my reasoning ? Explanations from professionals are welcome

Most of this will indeed by used, except Pier B, Gallery of Light, etc. (not because they can't be used technically, but because they are still not released for commercial operations, this should happen relatively soon in a next phase).

The tents that have been built are basically nothing more than corridors towards Connector, with some ticket desks and PRM etc. People that don't have to check-in, just go through the pre-check and proceed directly to Connector. Only those that have to check-in/drop their bags go into the actual temporary check-in hall (which is not in the tents, but in a part of Connector on platform level).

You could argue that they should seperate those that have already checked-in and only have carry-on luggage as from the start instead of getting them all through the same pre-check and route to Connector. But in this early stage there is not much of an alternative.
There is no easy other way to reach Connector from the departures hall, without disturbing the renovations there and it would require more resources from fedpol to have a pre-check at two locations.

VRT has already made their live coverage a disgrace. Reporter that has no clue about what is being said and images of rockets, from another headline, being fired in the background.

Finnair flights to Brussels on April 5 will still be cancelled. On April 6, Finnair will operate two flights, one of which returns to Helsinki the same day: AY813, AY814 and AY815.

SN has uploaded an updated version of it's planned flight schedule on their website. For Monday they added some flights that were previously not mentionned, for Tuesday it seems like there will be about 40-45 departing European flights (some destinations with more than 1 daily again) and 6 long haul. Meanwhile they continue to fly from ANR and LGG. Some routes remain fully cancelled, but the majority will get at least 1 flight again as from Tuesday.

I hope they re-establish the public transport links soon. I'm supposed to return to BRU on Tuesday, but as it looks now, we will be forced to walk to the Zaventem (the municipality, not the airport) train station to get out.

Same problem for me on Tuesday. I always can take a taxi but it will cost me +/- 35 EUR for a 15' ride when the TGV to CDG costs +/- 60 EUR ... Nice
