Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Wire money from LH to SN. That's your solution. You talk about ethics, not real power struggles between two economic actors/entities. Pilots should not give that much salary, that much FT/DT restrictions and so on. But reality is : if you don't give in, you will be fired. So pilots accept the shitt...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Indeed, airlines must offer to their customers the choice between three options, and refund them within 7 days, in the case.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
I'm not a specialist on that specific question, but can refunds be demanded if and only if the flight is officially cancelled within a 14 days time frame before originally booked expected departure day? So TLSpotting could not meet required conditions to be refunded?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
I like your way of thinking, give businesses state guarantee for a loan equal to the taxes they paid over the last ten years. No. Read again carefully and come back when fully understood. However don’t take 261, which is social security, but take the actual taxes over a certain period. Please devel...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Let's talk money, my friends. Extract from official Brussels Airlines annual report 2018, code 621 : 40.245.263€ Previous year (2017) : 37.999.192€ Total amount paid to Belgium in two years (fiscal) : 78.244.455€. 78 millions euros ! 18 millions above the 60 millions currently "lost" by th...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
By the way, close to all captains are on belgian contracts. Same for F/O. What about other employees, do you think? Luxembourg citizens?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
its gonna have to be a lot to offset the 60 million euro anyway that was not repayed on the 125 million EUR https://www.madeinvlaamsbrabant.be/nieuws/verkoop-van-brussels-airlines-kost-60-miljoen-euro/ Now they are asking for another 200 million which certainly was a preliminary figure, how much of...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Careful with your accusations please, we are having a discussion between grownups, there is no right or wrong we have different ideas and try to support them with relevant arguments, this is not a mudd throwing contest. But, of course, I do have proof and a figure: 4 million a year. (https://www.ti...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Only one question : how much money has the belgian State received since the creation of SNBA, through employee earnings (annual/social taxes, consumer goods etc...) ? Wrong question: between 2001 and 2010 social taxes were deducted from the salaries, but SN did not transfer all of them to the State...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Only one question : how much money has the belgian State received since the creation of SNBA, through employee earnings (annual/social taxes, consumer goods etc...) ? Fair, but every company/employee in Belgium pays that. Sure. Any estimation for, let's say, the 2019 year? If you want to compare a ...

But do cargo airlines view these airports as regionals ? That's the main question, I would say.

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
That is probably the most important one André! If they force the airlines to move, they'll move probably to another country than a regional airport. Maybe the action groups pro the airport should ask the same question! It would be quite unfair to only have the persons against BRU and not the one pr...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
1. OST can't accept more night flights without the same protest now occuring at BRU. Brussels city accepted at the time more night flights and new routes. OST can accept changes as well, especially if economic benefits are significant. 2. Most night flights at BRU now are DHL cargo/courier flights....

Re: Flybe Dash 8 Q400 crash lands at Amsterdam. Many diversions
Of course. Why do they touch so hardly can be explained by a lot of factors. But what I said is that a failure of a landing gear at that rate of descent (estimated between 500 and 1000ft/min) is not abnormal at all. Remember that the certification takes a 10ft/sec at Max landing weight, which is onl...
