I think that LH & PrivatAir want to create a feeder reliable airline, in the region, because all airlines in Central Africa are blacklisted. With this airline, LH will able to carry passengers from Brazzaville to Malabo and then connect with LH flight.

The airline has just announced that they will fly to Luanda, from 01DEC2011, with B737-800, via Libreville. The route was supposed to open in 2009.

I think only TAAG can compete with internationals airlines...but it's quite easy for them, because they have code share agreements with some airlines serving LAD :mrgreen: . Yep but for a shortime, indeed one of two A340-500 will be in maintenance, so the airline will fly to London from Lagos with B737-800, from 31AUG 2011 to 31OCT 2011 according to Airline routes.But isn't that the Abuja route, while Lagos was (is?) still operated with A345?

I m not very surprised by the news, the Nigerian Civil Aviation has already grounded several times Arik Air for non payment. They canceled the order of 5 B777-300ERs, this year. They are often in mate for pay date.
