Hi together
UR-CKM AN12 just departed to Helsinki...
A Short question, how is the actual situation with the runways, when is the longer runway opened?
Thanks in advance!

Re: LGG 27.12.2017
From my time there, I can remember that 22L/04R can pretty much be opened “on demand” for aircraft that need it. Of course, this is with prior coordination such that the works etc. can be planned around the hours the runway needs to be open.

Re: LGG 27.12.2017
Every thursday a meeting is held to prepare the planning of the works for next week. All concerned people attend this meeting. If an aircraft needs RWY 22L/04R for departure/landing, a slot for reopening 22L/04R is foresseen (usually only for heavies) The planning of closure of 22L/04R is then published by NOTAM.
This planning can be adapted on short notice but this is something not really recommended beacause it takes quite some time to clear works and open the runway ! And above all it costs a money !
And there is a general rule : when Low Visibility Ops are expected, works are cancelled as only 22L/04R is equipped with CAT II-III ILS !
